Our region is covered with snow from the end of November to the beginning of May - snow, snow and more snow, as far as the eye can see.

You can get on the four-seater Kehrkopf chairlift right in front of the hotel, and you’ll immediately find yourself in the middle of the famous Tauern Round!

Also close by the hotel on the slopes of the Salzburg region is the Schrotteralm practice lift, the perfect option for beginners, connoisseurs and infant ski bunnies who would like to travel slowly and with maximum fun.

Lift facilities in Obertauern include 3 gondola lifts, 17 chairlifts, 5 T-bar lifts, one practice lift with conveyor belt and a total of 100 kilometres of slopes. Obertauern also boasts 26 km of legendary cross-country ski trails. There is a terrific range of après-ski options, an exciting nightlife and party scene, an extensive wellness area at Hotel Tauernherz and plenty of delicious cuisine in our “Herzenslust” restaurant.
