Winter in Obertauern

Such snow. Such a glow. So wide. So glide. So next-door. So much to explore. Step outside our doors and straight onto 100 kilometres of blissful, snow-covered slopes. Carving, boarding, freeriding and après-ski. Anything’s possible. Get out onto the mountain and it’s all happening.

“Ski” comes from the Norwegian word “SKI”, meaning “split piece of wood"  This means the distance from the crackling logs of our cosy open fireplace through the lobby and onto the slopes is as short as you could possibly want, so you can really “get up and go.” Go right onto the four-seater Kehrkopf chairlift and out on the “boards that mean the world”.

So snowy. So whoopee! Non-stop skiing enjoyment from 1,000 to 2,526 m in the Obertauern. And that means guaranteed snow as well in the Obertauern snow bowl. It’s a winter wonderland with legendary guaranteed snow and limitless winter sports fun. Add to that the rustic comfort of the Alpine huts, breathtaking views and the excitement of rising early to experience that first run down an undisturbed slope – and, of course, that means more time for après-ski indulgence afterwards.
